Born and grown in the area of Newbury and Thatcham, I worked a few office jobs before having my children, and realising that I wanted to design, create and craft for a living. Having always been interested in Interior Design, I was fascinated by the upholstery process and the magic of turning something old, ruined or uncomfortable into a future antique to be proud of. I started to learn, spending hours with a wonderful Upholsterer called Richard, who had decades of experience but was still kind and patient enough to answer endlessly stupid questions. I took courses and gained certificates before Richard sadly passed away, and this became the catalyst for me starting the business.
